Creative Process / Title Sequence Prototype

Il Mostro: The Paper Proposal

Prototyping an unselected title direction.

Creative process, title sequence development

During the development of the opening titles for Il Mostro, multiple creative directions were explored. The Paper Proposal was one real direction, and it was not selected for final production.

The idea: paper as the visual and material language of the sequence.

From proposal to prototype: the unselected direction was later developed in motion, as an experiment, to understand how it could behave as a sequence.

What the prototype makes visible: rhythm, material, atmosphere, movement, transitions, overall coherence and, above all, whether the direction is worth taking into final production.

Production remains a decision. Once a direction is validated, final execution can be chosen according to the project: practical, 3D, generative or hybrid. This prototype was not the final production route.

We don't prototype images. We prototype creative decisions.
